The heavyweight backing supports high pressure applications, a consistent cut rate and both wet and dry applications. The disc is resin bonded to withstand high heat and pressure. A grinding aid reduces grinding temperatures to protect heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel and nickel alloys. 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is a 3M™ proprietary ceramic mineral chemically engineered with a unique "stay sharp" crystalline structure, which continually reveals fresh cutting edges on the surface of the workpiece ensuring an exceptionally fast and sustained cut.
