Interbraid construction. Yarns dipped in TFE suspensoid. Fibers are saturated and sealed with TFE particles, protecting the fibers from chemical action. TFE provides a greater degree of chemical inertness, lower coefficient of friction and prevents penetration of chemical fluids. A surface coating of TFE is applied after braiding for extra protection. To assure good break-in characteristics, a light oil is applied. Recommended for general service, rotating and reciprocating pumps and agitators. For caustics, mild acids, difficult chemicals, air, gases, solvents, oils and general plant application. For pH 3 to 11, PV factor 650000, temperatures to 500 deg F/260 deg C, speeds to 1885 fpm. The proprietary TFE dispersion system provides greater penetration and more thorough dissemination of the inert TFE. Packaged in 10 lb boxes, which may be broken for smaller orders.
